Restorative Justice CLE

Lauren Abramson, Ph.D. is the Founder and former Executive Director of the Community Conferencing Center and is a bio-psychologist with over 25 years of experience as a Restorative Justice practitioner, trainer, and writer.  Dr. Abramson applies Restorative Approaches in courts, schools, neighborhoods, and organizations as a means of providing people with collaborative opportunities for healing, learning, and fair justice. Successes over the past two decades speak to the power of Restorative Justice to: 1) empower individuals and communities to collectively manage and resolve their own conflicts, 2) address inequities in criminal justice, school discipline, and wherever else they exist, and 3) mobilize the wealth of untapped wisdom in all kinds of communities.

Dr. Abramson is recognized nationally and internationally for her training, writing, and practice in Circle processes. She advances this work as a powerful, low-tech way to build connected and empowered communities, fair and inclusive justice, and spaces for people to individually and collectively be human, humane, and authentic.
