David Silverstein was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1991.  He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1986 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida in 1991.  He served as the Department of Children and Families CWLS Senior Attorney in Hernando County from 1993 to 1999.  He was the CWLS Managing Attorney for District 13 from 1999 to 2004.  Since 2004, he has been an Attorney Supervisor and Training Director for the Office of the Attorney General, Children’s Legal Services in Hillsborough County, Florida.  Mr. Silverstein has performed numerous trainings in the area of dependency law for the past 17 years. He is the current Vice-Chair and former Chair of the Juvenile Court Rules Committee of The Florida Bar and has authored several rule revisions and forms to improve the dependency process. Mr. Silverstein has been the author of Chapter 12, Florida Juvenile Law and Practice since 2005.
